Overview
TITLE: Fan Ambassador (Part-Time).
DEPARTMENT: Guest Experience.
REPORTS TO: Sr. Guest Experience Coordinator.
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Part Time, Hourly.
The Fan Ambassador position is part of the fast-paced and exciting Facility Operations Team within the Guest Experience Department at Inter&Co Stadium. Fan Ambassadors are responsible for providing an exceptional and positive experience for every guest that attends an event at Inter&Co Stadium. This may include, but is not limited to, welcoming guests at our gates, checking tickets, listening to fans’ needs and providing accurate information in response, and reporting any issues and feedback to leadership within the Guest Experience Department.
Responsibilities- Have a positive attitude with a willingness to assist guests and anticipate their needs.
- Deliver excellent customer service to each fan entering and leaving Inter&Co Stadium through utilization of the Club’s “Gold Standard” service philosophy.
- Provide accurate directions to seating sections and key locations within Inter&Co Stadium and the surrounding areas.
- Proactively engage and interact with fans throughout the Inter&Co Stadium and exterior Fan Zone.
- Ensure that fan concerns are heard and reported appropriately.
- Have extensive knowledge of Inter&Co Stadium policies, services, and amenities.
- Assist with accurately communicating key messages to guests.
- Project an approachable, professional, and empathetic attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability are a must related to attendance and work schedule.
- Collaborate with other stadium staff including members of security, food service, ticket operations, merchandise, housekeeping and maintenance, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Customer Service experience in a sporting or entertainment venue is preferred.
- Ability to handle stressful customer service situations with poise and professionalism.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Schedule availability for no less than 80% of Orlando City home matches, including pre-season, postseason, and cup matches. Home opener and Inter Miami matches are mandatory.
- Schedule availability for no less than 80% of Orlando Pride home matches, including pre-season, postseason, and cup matches.
- Schedule availability for no less than 80% of events held at Inter&Co Stadium (Orlando City matches, Orlando Pride matches, UFL Storm games, etc.).
- Orlando City’s home opener match and Orlando City’s match against Inter Miami are mandatory.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to attain and maintain Safe Sport certification.
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 to 5 hours at a time.
- Must have reliable transportation and be available to work for all scheduled shifts.
- Knowledge of soccer is preferred but not required.
In November 2013, Orlando City Soccer Club was awarded a Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise, becoming the league’s 21st franchise. The team began play in March 2015, with 62,510 fans packing the then-Orlando Citrus Bowl for the Club’s MLS debut.
The Lions have reached the postseason in five-consecutive seasons (2020-24), qualified for the Concacaf Champions Cup (formerly Concacaf Champions League) in both 2023 and 2024, and reached their first final in 2020 during the MLS is Back Tournament.
