Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work remotely with our client in Orlando, FL. Interested?

Here’s what you’d do:
  • Seeking an experienced Service Now developer who can contribute to maintaining the stability, efficiency, and performance of the enterprise-wide Service Now service.
  • This includes multiple instances and a complex development ecosystem.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the Service Central team, with a focus on designing and developing Service Now applications, catalogue items, and integrations.
  • Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in a computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
  • Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
  • Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
  • Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
  • Ensures software standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain custom applications, workflows/flows, APIs and other capabilities as needed/assigned.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests as part of the development cycle.
  • Maintain Knowledge Articles as associated with functionality and as assigned.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of enhancements to Service Now modules such as ITSM, ITOM, and others.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Service Now configuration, customization, scripting, and development
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration technologies, including Integration Hub, Action Designer, and Data Sources.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Service Now development, including core modules such as ITSM, CMDB, workflows/flows, and custom app development, and integrations.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
  • Motivated to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in processes.
  • Motivated to understand past organisational decisions to enhance future technical and strategic outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience with presenting process improvements to leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience with Service Now Incident Management, Request Management, and Knowledge Management.
  • Advanced familiarity with Service Now core product functionality, with demonstrated experience in navigating vendor documentation and the Service Now HI Portal.
