Software Speech C++ Developer

Under general direction of the Manager of Engineering, the Software Developer (Speech Technology) participates in the design, development, and testing of effective new software or enhancements to existing software in support of maintenance and enhancement of the Adacel product lines.

• Perform software coding, testing, and create relevant documentation across multiple products with minimal supervision.
• Work with Product Management and subject matter experts to identify and clarify requirements.
• Display leadership within a team environment and contributes from their knowledge level.
• Optimize Engineering processes by recommending improvements to policies and procedures.
• Estimate software work packages and provide input to proposal responses.
• Assist in “Tier 3” engineering support of customer problems to resolve defects in fielded systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent
• 8+ years’ experience in Windows with a minimum of 4 years with speech technologies
• Strong experience with the C/C++ programming language family
• Strong working knowledge of Object‑Oriented programming / Design Patterns
• Strong working knowledge of low‑level Windows audio and USB APIs
• Knowledge of digital audio/signal processing

• Active U.S. Passport
• Ability to pass a security clearance background check.
• This position will required the employee to be in Canada for the first 3 month of employment for training.
• It requires 40% of traveling after passing the three (3) month of training.

• Experience with Linux
• Experience in the Air Traffic Management Software/Air Traffic Control development domain
• Experience with real‑time or pseudo real‑time systems
• Experience in JAVA
• Experience with Python
• Experience with WEB based development

• Ability to adhere to Adacel’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.
• Ability to pass an Adacel background check while employed.
• Ability to travel on a frequent basis without advance notice. We do not offer visa sponsorship.***
• Must have an active U.S. Passport and the ability to pass a security clearance background check.

Salary:
From $72K Depending on direct experience with Speech Technologies/Programming Language and C++
