POSITION: RRH Specialist
REPORTS TO: CWF Program Manager
STATUS: Hourly – Non-Exempt – Full-Time
OVERVIEW
This role provides stabilization case management to participants in the Rapid Rehousing (RRH) Program and/or to shelter guests transitioning into permanent housing with financial assistance through Orange County funded programs. Using a housing-focused approach
, the Case Manager helps individuals and families secure stable housing while addressing barriers to long-term housing retention. The position requires professionalism, adaptability, and a strong commitment to uphold the Coalition’s values, fostering an environment of dignity, respect, and cooperation. The case manager assists clients throughout the housing process, including coordinating moving logistics and administering rental support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain regular contact with clients throughout the case management process, documenting all interactions and case notes in HMIS within 24 hours.
- Work collaboratively with clients using a strengths-based approach to develop and update individualized Housing Stability Plans that address barriers to permanent housing.
- Build a comprehensive monthly budget with clients to help them learn to manage their money, pay bills, and maintain financial stability.
- Assist clients in identifying suitable housing units across various permanent housing options based on their unique needs, preferences, and financial resources using Housing Connector or other housing resources.
- Support clients throughout the housing process, including completing applications, paying application fees, and negotiating lease agreements with landlords.
- Assist clients in obtaining household items through the donations department.
- Mediate with landlords regarding tenant issues and de-escalate crises as needed.
- Provide time-limited, targeted services to help clients stabilize quickly in permanent housing.
- Connect clients to resources that support safety, well-being, and long-term goals (e.g., childcare, employment, behavioral health, financial assistance, healthcare).
- Monitor clients’ housing stability and provide support for crisis resolution, at a minimum during periods of rental assistance.
- Maintain and submit all required documentation for monthly reporting.
- Demonstrate and role model effective team behaviors and communication with staff and clients.
- Treat all clients, volunteers, and staff with respect and dignity, maintaining strict confidentiality of all information.
- Meet newly assigned clients within one business day of assignment.
- Ensure client files are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Evaluate and adjust housing plans as action steps are completed or new goals arise, empowering clients to participate actively in goal setting.
- Gather all necessary client documents (, birth certificate, social security card, etc.) and upload to HMIS; assist clients in obtaining missing documents.
- Schedule regular appointments with clients to monitor progress and ensure goals are on track.
- Candidates must possess an associate’s degree or equivalent number of college credits in a social services field. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Candidate should have at least 3 years of documented case management experience.
- Individuals that have been working in the field, but do not possess a degree will be considered if they have five or more years of documented case management experience.
- Homeless services, case management, mental health, permanent supportive housing and rapid rehousing experience preferred.
- Flexible work schedule to include some evenings and/or weekends. Will be expected to meet clients at times that are convenient for the client and outside of regular work schedule.
- Must be proficient in written and verbal communication.

- Must have valid Florida’s driver’s license and must pass an MVR.
- Knowledge of housing programs, housing resources, and supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness.
