2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Waldorf Astoria Orlando is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join the Agronomy Team. Surrounded by Walt Disney Resort, this luxurious Forbes 4‑Star property has 502 rooms, 30,000 square feet of banquet space, and 7 food and beverage outlets—including 3 restaurants, 2 bars, a pool, and in‑room dining.

Classification:
Full‑time. Shift: Various – must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Pay: $19.57 per hour.

As a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you will assist the Superintendent in directing and participating in the maintenance, operation, and management of the golf course to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in managing and maintaining the golf course(s) and practice areas (greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, native areas).
• Conducting facility inspections and supervising minor construction projects and course additions.
• Daily set‑up of the golf course, including cup cutting.
• Assisting with all mowing and course maintenance tasks as needed.
• Monitoring nightly irrigation applications, insect and weed populations, and diseases to diagnose problems and present solutions.
• Handling irrigation repairs and daily maintenance of the Toro system, including hand watering.
• Applying fertilizer/chemical applications when applicable.
• Assisting in monitoring and developing team member performance, including supervision, scheduling, professional development, and recognition.
