Overview

Commercial Painting Sub-Contractor with Crew – SPACE COAST REAL ESTATE, INC. We are seeking a self-motivated and outgoing sub-contractor with a crew for commercial painting opportunities. Crews must be able to work systematically to complete large scale jobs efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial painting (e.g., malls, industrial buildings, hotels, government facilities), can operate lifts and swing stages, and has the equipment and personnel to perform the work.

The role involves physically demanding tasks such as repetitive movements, standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and climbing stairs and ladders.

• Completes set-up duties at the job site, including staging area setup, covering/masking, and protecting floors (drop cloths for interior; power/hand-washing for exterior).
• Prepares surfaces for painting by repairing holes/cracks, sealing stains, sanding, or caulking gaps to prevent water intrusion and ensure good adhesion.
• Applies priming and premium-quality paint to achieve a uniform finish.
• Performs daily cleanup and final site wrap-up, returning items to proper locations and cleaning floors, carpets, and debris.
• Inspects work for high quality and adheres to work orders and change orders.
• Maintains safety, cleanliness, and organization of work areas and securely stores equipment.
• Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and employees; projects a professional image on site.
• Ensures required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of professional painting experience preferred.
• Painting skills and knowledge of painting tools and equipment; industry knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; highly organized and self-motivated; quality conscious and detail-oriented.
• Unrestricted driver s license and clean driving record; must have own vehicle and equipment.
• Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job (repetitive movements, standing, lifting, climbing, working at heights).
