• Hourly Pay: $28.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
• Sign-On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
• Schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday; weekends off
• Hours:
  
  Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard maintenance and preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable
• Completes detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Works unsupervised on most tasks
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Follows all safety, DOT, MOT and corporate compliance guidelines
• Mentors Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
• Accesses and uses internal and external maintenance documents
• Supports other duties as required to support operations
• SBTIII trained within 180 days (SBT
  220)
• Completes OEM On-Line diagnostic tool software courses as required by location

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification or post-secondary degree preferred
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:
  • Routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
  • Basic diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems
• Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred
• All other certification as required by location
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment
• Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
• This position requires driving Ryder vehicles; must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background/motor vehicle checks for the last 3 years
