Job DescriptionIrrigation Technician
Reports to: Grounds Superintendent
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Responsibilities- Install new irrigation systems based on project specifications.
- Regularly inspect and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Diagnose and repair system malfunctions, including leaks, broken lines, and damaged components.
- Read and interpret irrigation plans.
- Familiarity with different irrigation systems, including drip, sprinkler, and soaker hose systems.
- Knowledge of various irrigation components, including pipes, valves, pumps, and controllers.
- Proven experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of water conservation practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Extensive knowledge in irrigation maintenance, repairs, and installation.
- Three years’ work experience in landscaping and grounds operation.
- Experience with installing and maintaining PVC and HDPE irrigation systems.
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to navigate rough and uneven terrain.
- Must be able to work in hot and muggy conditions and inclement weather.
- Must be physically able to perform the duties described.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
