HVAC/Boiler Technician Unify Recruit – Orlando, FL, US
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Boiler Service Journeyman to join a skilled mechanical team. This role involves the inspection, maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of boiler systems and related equipment for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge and a commitment to high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial, industrial, and institutional boiler systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical components of boilers and related systems.
- Work with a range of equipment including:
- System sizes: 500,000 BTU to 200 HP
- Manufacturers:
Lochinvar, York Shipley, Hurst, Superior, Johnson, etc. - Equipment types:
High/low pressure steam boilers, hot water boilers, high‑efficiency systems, water heaters, sterilizers, and associated components
- Provide on‑site service, including preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, as scheduled through dispatch.
- Ensure timely communication with customers regarding delays or updates.
- Maintain service vehicle in clean, working order and stock with necessary tools, parts, and safety equipment.
- Accurately document equipment details (make, model, serial number, fuel type), diagnostics, and service actions taken.
- Generate and explain service invoices based on company pricing.
- Attend ongoing technical training to stay current with industry standards and innovations.
- Identify and communicate potential upsell opportunities such as system upgrades, service contracts, or additional services.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in boiler service and repair.
- Completion of a UA Apprenticeship or relevant technical school preferred.
- Preferred certifications:
- Journeyman or Master HVAC License
- EPA/CFC Certification
- Manufacturer‑specific factory training
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to work nights/weekends on a rotating on‑call basis.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
