  • Verify that piping systems are installed per design drawings, specifications, and code, and are fully functional prior to turnover.
  • Perform and support hydrostatic and pressure testing, system flushing, and leak checks.
  • Review and interpret piping schematics, isometric drawings, and shop drawings to verify system installation and troubleshoot discrepancies.
  • Work closely with commissioning teams, project managers, controls contractors, and field installers to ensure all systems function properly and meet turnover criteria.
  • Complete and maintain commissioning checklists and field reports on a company iPad with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide input during system walk‑downs and punch lists, ensuring all deficiencies are corrected.
  • Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety, quality, and productivity.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial pipe fitting experience, with a focus on HVAC and mechanical system rough‑ins.
  • Strong working knowledge of piping materials and installation methods, including welded, brazed, threaded, grooved, and press‑fit systems.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes, piping system operation, and functional testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, riser diagrams, and specifications.
  • Experience working on active commercial construction sites and coordinating with multiple trades.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, overtime, and occasional overnight travel as required by project schedules.
  • Clean and valid driver’s license.
  • Previous experience supporting or performing commissioning/start‑up of HVAC/mechanical systems.

  • Push, pull, and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
