Diesel Technician/Mechanic (C) - 2nd shift
Job located in Apopka, FL (Orlando, FL). Compensation: $72,800.00-$ (industry range). 100% full‑time.

Summary of PositionKnowledge and ability to perform preventive maintenance services on heavy‑duty and light‑duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems.
Essential Job Functions- Aid/assist drivers in completion of daily post‑trip and vehicle safety inspections.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment during safety lane and PMs.
- Complete lubrication and repairs on lubricant points as per schedule.
- Learn and utilize brake inspection procedures, document daily.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance on heavy‑duty equipment (rear load, front load, roll off, grapple, port‑a‑let, chassis, body).
- Communicate with A & B technicians/drivers regarding vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
- Complete paperwork/computer data entry (parts usage, repair time).
- Maintain clean, safe work area, comply with corporate/OSHA standards.
- Conduct repairs using factory service manuals.
- Maintain high standard of ethics and dependability.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist drivers with pre/post‑trip process.
- Identify visible repairs required on vehicles (lights, mirrors, leaks, body damage).
- Assist in fluid top‑up (oil, hydraulic fluids, transmission fluid, DEF).
- Knowledge of tire inspections and air pressure adjustments.
- Assist technicians with repair of lights, wipers, mirrors.
- Understand and use lubrication charts for waste trucks.
- Assist in repair of basic engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, body components.
- Know all tools required to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Basic computer skills as required.
