Greenway Kia West - Part Time Technician

Greenway Kia West is looking for a part‑time Technician to join our team. The Technician will perform high‑level accurate and efficient work, primarily on gas‑powered engines, and will be responsible for repairing and rebuilding engines, transmissions, drive lines, and differentials. The role requires dependable, timely service with exceptional customer service.

• Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test‑drive vehicles and troubleshoot components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive transmissions and related systems.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of necessary additional service and provide time estimates for extra repairs.
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Learn on the job with hands‑on training.
• Execute other duties as assigned.

• ASE certification or completion of an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair preferred.
• Proficiency in repairing and diagnosing engines (gas and diesel), power trains including differentials, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, PTOs, wheel ends, electrical systems (starters, alternators, HVAC, steering systems, ECM, ECU, sensors), and complete assemblies such as turbochargers and fuel systems.
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment (wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, lifts).
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately to maintain records.
• Professional appearance and friendly customer service orientation.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills, including composure under stress.
