Night Shift Fleet Automotive Technician
Transdev in Orlando, FL. is seeking an experienced A-Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic for night shift hours (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM). This role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive engines across a variety of vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity of assets.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauls and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanic.
- CDL Driver's License required.
- ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
- Mechanic’s Tool Set.
- Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside. Work alone and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects; lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand exposure to heavy traffic areas and to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
- Vacation: minimum of two weeks.
- Sick days: 5 days.
- Holidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating).
