the mechanic will be responsible for repairing and performing preventative maintenance on all company equipment. The mechanic maintains the fleet by inspecting and servicing vehicles and equipment, conducting performance tests; diagnosing problems; repairing or replacing parts.

• perform preventative maintenance and service to a variety of landscape power equipment including commercial mowers, 2 cycle equipment, utility vehicles, trucks and trailers
• operate safely and maintain shop in a clean, orderly manner
• maintain equipment in good working condition; the nature of the job requires that we work long hours at times; overtime may be required.
• responsible for sharpening blades, grease equipment, change the oil in all equipment including all trucks and trailer
• perform full inspections of truck, trailers and lawn maintenance equipment in order to repair problems before they become safety issues
• work directly with employees addressing concerns
• may be asked to travel to other locations operated by the company with possible overnight stay on larger jobs
• other task as assigned

• a professional with a minimum of (2+) years repair experience with mowers, small engines, 2 cycle equipment and utility vehicles
• must be able to reach overhead, work in various positions (including stopping, standing, bending over, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time)
• must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance of tools or other personnel, push and pull materials and equipment repeatedly throughout the work day
• basic automotive repair experience
• a team player with excellent communication abilities
• strong organizational skills, shop cleanliness, inventory and parts ordering, desire to stay proactive and not reactive as it applies to preventative maintenance and repairs
• bilingual (english/spanish) a plus
• must have valid driver's license and clean driving records

monday- friday - can be placed on either shift based on business demands

• 1st shift 5:00am
  -2:00pm (one half hour lunch)
• 2nd shift 11:00am - 7:00pm (one half hour lunch)
