As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Unit in Orlando, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle-area patrols, monitor activity, and respond to incidents while maintaining a highly visible presence that helps reduce security-related issues. You will support access control, assist guests and staff with clear communication, and document observations.

- Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of guest areas, lobbies, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help reduce the likelihood of unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including de‑escalating conflicts, coordinating with property management, and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
- Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, and observing for suspicious behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
- Document security‑related activities, patrols, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and post orders.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
