What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and timely notification of site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.

* Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or hazards and reporting concerns per post orders.

* Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, supporting check-in processes, directing individuals to appropriate departments, and/or assisting with way finding while maintaining a professional presence.

* Document patrol activity, incidents, and/or service calls in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

* This position is in a hospital environment where vaccines are required.

* Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.

* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

* Customer service experience is preferred.

* CPR certification is preferred.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
