Job Description
The Market Manager, Travel Supply plays a crucial role in maintaining and expanding EBG’s network of hotel partnerships and accommodation supply inventory. This position focuses on building strong relationships with hotel suppliers and EBG’s affiliate partners. The Market Manager is responsible for evaluating market trends, optimizing display and promotions by ensuring partner hotels content, rates, and availability are optimized for maximum conversion, including sourcing special deals and promotions directly from hotel partners.
Job Duties- Identify, secure and develop new business opportunities
- Build and maintain Hotel client relationships
- Negotiate favorable contractual deal points for partners
- Work with large affiliates to understand promotional needs, then work with hotel suppliers to support affiliate initiatives and marketing efforts
- Respond to new business inquiries and address customer service issues
- Build and maintain key customer data insights, daily, monthly and annually and report to partners or meet and present as needed
- Track and report daily sales volume and revenue for a wide variety of hotel booking metrics and statistics
- Negotiate and contract bonus and override opportunities for supplier partners
- Attend industry trade shows and partner events
Collaborate with marketing to promote and market exclusive deals and promotions - Adjust and maintain sort order in managed markets
- Conduct rate, availability and room type shops to ensure we are competitive in product offering and price
- 5+ years of experience in Account Management or Client Services
- A record of success in goal-oriented sales
- Experience in Travel / Hotel industry, ideally working with suppliers for high volume markets or Online Travel Agencies (OTAs)
- Proficient using Salesforce or similar CRM
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft applications and the Internet
- High energy, ability to remain focused on goals, working independently
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally in a professional manner
- Ability to think and act strategically
- Ability to negotiate large value deals and maintain long-term, trusted supplier relationships
- Open to traveling up to 10%
