This role involves representing Amgen s Rare Disease products to Primary Care/FP/GP/IM, Podiatry, and Orthopedic physicians and healthcare professionals, establishing Biotech/Infusion product sales, increasing referrals for appropriate patients to Rheumatology and Nephrology specialties, and performing total territory account management.
Responsibilities, collaboration, and business impact are described below.
Responsibilities- Represent Amgen s Rare Disease products to targeted physicians and healthcare professionals to establish product sales and drive referrals.
- Manage total territory accounts and collaborate with 2–3 Specialty Account Managers in Rheumatology and Nephrology sales teams to identify referral patients in Podiatry, Primary Care, and Orthopedics near KRYSTEXXA advocates and centers of excellence.
- Develop a comprehensive territory business plan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual sales goals.
- Promote disease state awareness and the value of the product to target customers.
- Identify appropriate patient types for referral to treatment and ensure timely referrals to local Rheumatologists and Nephrologists.
- Regularly communicate progress with SAM/ASD and provide feedback to sales, marketing, and other internal departments about changing environments and results.
- Promote KRYSTEXXA within approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair, and ethical manner compliant with industry guidelines and corporate policies.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding customers needs and goals and communicating them to other team members.
- Meet or exceed corporate sales goals and accurately report territory activity as directed by management.
- Adhere to Amgen s compliance policies, guidelines, and applicable codes (including PhRMA).
- Complete all Amgen training classes and manage administrative duties accurately and timely.
- Manage promotional and operational budgets and maximize use of approved resources to achieve territory and account goals.
- Collaborate across divisions within the GBU to achieve business objectives and attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
- Perform such other tasks as requested by management from time to time.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor s Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Or Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
- Buy and bill experience and success preferred.
- Biologic/biotech Sales And Reimbursement Experience Preferred.
- Established customer relationships in primary care, podiatry and/or orthopedic markets required.
- Rheumatology And Nephrology Therapeutic Area Experience Preferred.
- Experience working in a team environment which successfully partners with all Commercial Operations functions.
- Strong Organizational, Analytical And Computer Skills Preferred.
- Approximately 30% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Professional, proactive demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
