This job opportunity is with a Southeast Regional Market leader of Critical Power Solutions and Services. They offer Mission Critical Power Equipment such as busways, UPS, conduits, panel meters / panels, RPPs, PDUs, etc.
They provide companies with options for equipment purchases when multiple sourcing options are needed in the current supply chain crunch. This supports their client’s uptime of mission‑critical facilities for many of the world’s largest organizations and government facilities including enterprise data centers, colocation providers and hyperscale companies.
Our client is looking for a Critical Power Sales Associate to join their outside sales team. The Sales Associate will be responsible for supporting a region in developing and executing sales for the company. This person must be able to develop regional vertical market segments and tailor specific requirements to that vertical market. The Sales Associate will be responsible for the sales efforts and results for the region for the company.
Our client is looking for a Sales Associate that can grow and manage a territory conducting direct sales with end users – Enterprise, Colo, and Hyperscale market. The ideal candidate will have knowledge or previous experience selling Critical Power Solutions in the region, possess an established rolodex of contacts in the Mission Critical Data Center / Critical Facilities Marketplace. They will support a specific region and pursue sales opportunities that are product based.
The primary candidate function will be calling on established clients and prospecting for new accounts among high‑potential Critical Facility end‑users, work through Partners such as engineers, architects, subcontractors, integrators and GCs. They will also be responsible for preparing proposals, presentations, and briefings. Candidate will also be expected to establish positive relationships with existing business partners in hopes to generate additional business.
A proven track record of consultative data center solutions sales skills are a must, along with a strong background in electrical power distribution and backup power.
- Create a sales approach that will allow prospective customers to reach their full market potential.
- Develop new business and maintain and grow established clients in the Mission Critical Data Center space in the Southeast Region:
Carolinas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida. - Cold call new prospects, RFP interviews, requirements meetings, etc., and manage the entire sales process from first contact to closing the deal.
- Establish positive relationships with existing business partners in hopes to generate additional business.
- Maintain and review sales prospect pipeline and sales forecast.
- Develop strategic relationships that will help bring in additional sales opportunities.
- Develop and manage an effective channel strategy from both a sales and marketing perspective.
- Develop relationships with third‑party revenue‑generating partners and national property management firms that lead to large end‑user opportunities.
- Develop a marketing and lead generation capability utilizing web‑based techniques.
- Maintain extensive relationships with national property management firms, facility engineers and managers to develop a repeatable sales strategy.
- Attend and arrange booth space at trade shows and conferences to market the company’s Critical Power OEM services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, other technically related degree, or equivalent work‑related experience.
