• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
• Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Assist and coach other team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the back door for vendor deliveries.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist the manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on release day and reverse logistics (e.g., 1506, returns, empty package).
• Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts; maintain the accuracy of on‑hand quantities in basic departments, stock rooms, and overstock locations.
• Assist in ensuring the Outdate program is followed.
Perform basic department pricing and daily price changes; ensure proper signage is displayed and local regulations compliance.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities—including cash reports, counts, ledgers, and bill payments as necessary.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuringнения a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance; request repairs as required.man.
• Separate food items (raw from pre‑cooked) and product placement as specified by policies; perform stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out.
• Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist at pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
• Check team members’ bags before store closing.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintainteilungen respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager.

• Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating tasks to team members when store management is absent.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
