About the Role

The Retail Sales Associate is the face of our in-store experience at The Jungle Room by BWH Plant Co. This role is perfect for someone who is outgoing, passionate about plants, and dedicated to delivering top-tier customer service. As part of our Retail team, you’ll assist customers, support group workshops + local events, maintain and care for plants, and create a welcoming environment that fosters community engagement.

What You’ll Do

Customer Engagement
:
Proactively interact with customers, provide plant care advice, and create a welcoming shopping experience.

Sales & Checkout: Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently, assist customers with purchases, and drive sales through product recommendations.

Plant Maintenance: Maintain a visually appealing and organized store, including watering, potting, trimming, and general plant care.

Events & Community: Assist with in-store events, workshops, and community initiatives to foster engagement and brand loyalty.

Store Operations: Support daily retail operations to ensure smooth store functioning and premium service.

Product Knowledge: Stay informed about all Jungle Room products and actively seek additional plant education.

What We’re Looking For

1+ year of experience in a retail, hospitality, or customer service setting.

Strong knowledge of plants and plant care.

Outgoing personality with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and multitask effectively.

Reliability and flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Schedule Requirements

Must be available to work at least one weekend day per week.

Flexible to work between 4-8 hour shifts.

It must be available around major retail holidays/moments (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother’s Day).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
