Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organizational and time management skills, and establish retailer relationships while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations. You may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
- Your starting pay will be $14.00 to $16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are between 8 and 10 hours.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Your Role And Responsibilities Will Include
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor and complete required reports and surveys. Interact with store employees, management, and customers in a professional manner. Be responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores. - Holiday support:
Work extra days and extended hours leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on the holiday itself, which may include weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations, relocation of card departments and products, and resetting card sections. You will receive two‑week notice for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support other merchandisers in the network when needed.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout your workday and be able to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- English reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to lift products up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capability to operate a digital hand‑held device for documents and information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores.
