Pershing Oaks Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced veterinary technician to add to their dedicated team. Working together to establish and uphold the highest standards of patient care, we believe that to care for our patients, we must also care for each other. We strive to cultivate a supportive, fun environment that encourages camaraderie and opportunities to learn and grow.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
• Critical thinking - Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Proficiency in handling animals of varying temperaments.
• Ability to gain animals trust during handling for examination, treatment, or transport.
• Knowledge of proper animal restraint techniques.
• Familiarity with basic grooming practices for a diverse range of small animals.
• Efficiency in utilizing cleaning materials and equipment.
• Capability to perform moderately heavy physical tasks, must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.

Our wonderful practice has an In-House IDEXX Laser Cyte CBC, Catalyst Chemistry Machine, Sedecal Vet-Ray Digital Radiography, Cornerstone Software, and more.
