Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or PA-C opportunities available in the Melbourne, Florida area. Advent Health for Children and Advent Health Medical Group are looking for dynamic, innovative, and energetic neonatal nurse practitioners or PA‑C to work at the Level 2 NICU at Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC) in Melbourne, Florida. The NNP/PA‑C will collaborate with the neonatologist to cover the 10‑bed Level 2 NICU and newborn service.

• Provides care for NICU and newborn patients within the scope of licensure and supervisory physician's scope of practice.
• Evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, orders and interprets labs, x‑rays, and other diagnostic studies per specialty guidelines under the guidance of the neonatologist.
• Performs procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, umbilical lines, PICC lines, chest tube placement, and circumcisions.
• Communicates effectively with parents, other specialists, and NICU team members.
• Provides education and support to patients' families.
• Dispenses medications under a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician.

• 24‑hour shifts (8 a.m. – 8 a.m.)

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies with Neonatal Certification (required)
• 1‑2 years of experience in the NICU as an RN (highly preferred)
• 1‑2 years of experience in the NICU as a Neonatal APRN or Neonatal PA‑C (preferred but not required)

• Valid Florida APRN or PA license with Neonatal certification
• Certification through ANCC or other nationally recognized certifying body
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification

It sits astride the Indian River Lagoon, with a large portion of the city on Florida's mainland and a portion on a barrier island. The Indian River Lagoon separates the mainland from the beach‑side barrier island.
