+ Works with the Regional Orthopedic Institute team to develop and review orthopedic clinical policies and procedures.

+ Develops patient education and community outreach materials in collaboration with marketing to inform the community and increase market share.

+ Monitors performance metrics and ensures compliance with activities required to achieve and maintain practice-specific certifications.

+ Conducts daily rounds on in-patients with physicians to ensure desired patient outcomes and coordinates care issues with the interdisciplinary team.

+ Collaborates with case management on post-op discharge planning and strategies to decrease length of stay.

+ Partners with nursing to develop strategies to improve Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores and meet organizational goals.

** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* - Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible and function in a stressful, fast-changing environment.

- Must possess advanced knowledge in the specialty of Orthopedics and Orthopedic Nursing.

- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point preferred.

- Skilled in providing age-appropriate education.

- Professional and leadership skills, ability to interact appropriately with patients, families, treatment team, and physicians regarding care management interventions and illness adjustment issues.

- Advanced knowledge of adult orthopedic treatment, care, and prevention.
