Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital – a state‑of‑the‑art, seven‑story, multi‑specialty hospital – will serve as a vital 550,000 square‑foot healthcare hub offering:

• 300+ inpatient beds and 69 emergency and observation beds

Position Summary:

Administers and coordinates operational activities and projects as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer and hospital administrative team.

• Manages, coordinates and participates in a variety of administrative and/or clinical activities related to nursing administration and hospital operations.
• Develops and implements plans with cooperation with nursing and hospital leadership to address specific operating problems and issues.
• Develops and submits plans to the Chief Nursing Officer and/or facility Patient Care Administrator consistent with the overall goals of nursing, regulatory requirements, and corporate objectives of Orlando Health.
• Oversees the Corporate Nursing department budget and submits monthly variance reports.
• Collaborates with Patient Care Administrators and Nurse Executive Council on initiatives supporting the Orlando Health Nursing Strategic Plan.
• Serves as a liaison for the hospital nursing leadership council and represents nursing on multidisciplinary councils and committees.
• Serves as a liaison with facility development for hospital construction projects.
• Maintains open and positive working relationships with administrators, medical staff, managers and team members.
• Participates in decision‑making structures with leaders from governing bodies, management, medical staff and clinical areas.
• Represents Orlando Health in relationships with major customers, suppliers, competitors, government agencies, professional societies, and similar groups.
• Maintains strong collaborative relationships with physicians, employers, community leaders and the business coalition.
• Acts as an ambassador for Orlando Health in the community.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer or Patient Care Administrator.
• Maintains regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and federal, state, local standards.
• Complies with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Education/Training:

• Master’s degree in nursing or health‑related field.

Licensure/Certification:

• Maintains current State of Florida RN license.

Experience:

• Five (5) years of closely related experience, including three years of management experience.
