Unit Highlights:
- The 40 bed Cardiovascular PCU cares for patients recovering from cardiac surgical procedures such including coronary bypass grafting, valve repair/replacement, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Pericardial window, device explantation, laser lead extraction, heart catheterization, cardioversion, and ablations. We also care for patients with common cardiac-related conditions such as heart failure, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and myocardial infarction.

- Our Welcoming Team - This unit is known for its teamwork and the team welcomes everyone with open arms. Nurses work closely with our nurse technicians, patient care technicians, and advanced nurse technicians to ensure our patients are getting the help they need! Patient care model:
Registered Nurses & Patient Care Technicians/Nurse Technicians Ratios: 4-5 patients per 1 RN based on acuity & 10-13 patients per 1 PCT/NT based on acuity. - CVPCU is blessed to work with world renowned Cardiothoracic Surgeons who put compassion, clinical excellence, and multidisciplinary teamwork at the forefront of their practice. Our nursing practice is further elevated by the presence of a team of dedicated Nurse Practitioners who work alongside our staff to guide the plan of care 7 days a week.

The role you'll contribute:
The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Adheres to the Advent Health Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
