Unit Highlights:

The East Orlando Emergency Department has 80 treatment areas and sees over 104,000 patients each year, ranging from infants to geriatrics.

Advent Health East Campus Emergency Department is an academic medical center providing postgraduate training for physicians (3 medical residencies).

Our ED is also a clinical training environment for nurses and ancillary support personnel. In addition to being the busiest ED in the Advent Health system, it has been rated as having world-class employee satisfaction thanks to its family-minded, spiritually centered atmosphere.

The community you'll be caring for:

Advent Health East Orlando, a 265-bed community hospital, has served East Orlando residents since 1941 as an innovative local leader filling a vital need in a fast-growing area.

A recent 200,000 square-foot expansion upgraded the hospital to 265 beds, with a spacious patient tower and 80 new private rooms designed to enhance the holistic care experience.

Annual number of emergency cases: 89,018.

The role you'll contribute:

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect nursing care to specific age groups. Uses the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) to achieve departmental goals. Complies with the Advent Health Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable regulations. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Graduate of a school of nursing

• Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as per unit requirements

• EKG certification

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

• Professional Certification
