Southeast X‑Ray is a multi‑state provider specializing in disability evaluations for Veterans. We are currently seeking a part time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Orlando, FL area as a 1099 Independent Contractor.

  • Patient Load : 6‑8 patients per day (approximately 30 minutes with each patient)
Job Summary

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Southeast X‑Ray, you will conduct disability evaluations for Veterans in a non‑treatment capacity. You will not determine disability ratings but will focus on performing detailed assessments and preparing evaluation reports. No prior experience performing disability evaluations is required. We will provide and pay for thorough onboarding and training.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough disability evaluations for Veterans, reviewing their medical history and performing physical exams
  • Document findings and prepare comprehensive reports based on evaluation outcomes
  • Collaborate with onsite support staff for smooth and efficient evaluations
  • Order onsite diagnostic services, including X‑rays, as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical records
  • Manage scheduled appointments within clinic operational hours
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements
  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in any state (or able to obtain)
  • Completion of US‑based NP / PA Program (excluding Puerto Rico)
  • Ability to work independently in a non‑treatment setting
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism when evaluating Veterans’ health
  • Preferred, but not required:
    Specialization or experience in one or more of the following:
    Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Primary Care, Sports Medicine, or Urgent Care
