what you get to dothe director, partnerships leads the planning, development, sales and execution of corporate partnerships. Primary focus is new business development. Provide leadership and strategic direction to parks to optimize and grow revenue and attendance from partnership channels. Responsible for all aspects of marketing and sales through key assigned partnership channels. Assure sales alignment with marketing and communications initiatives.
partnerships- serve as main point of contact at united parks & resorts for a sub-set of prks’s official marketing partner relationships.
- owns relationship with united parks & resorts’ partnership agencies.
- develops, secures, and maintains strong and positive relationships with portfolio of strategic partners with objectives of driving revenue, attendance, offsetting costs, and maximizing partner satisfaction.
- leads implementation of partnership and sponsorship agreements.
- work closely with procurement to provide partnership opportunities.
- point of contact for partners and day-to-day representatives from partner organizations.
- responsible for having a strong understanding of partners’ businesses and industries.
- has responsibility for maximizing partner revenue to united parks & resorts via cash sponsor ships, marketing and media, park marketing activation, hospitality, licensing, and charity contributions from partners.
- leads internal cross-functional stakeholder groups to plan, communicate and leverage assets for all existing and new partnership contractual elements (such as park marketing teams, pr, licensing, merchandise/retail, it, digital marketing, legal, etc.).
- ensure partner and/or vendor budgets are managed and reconciled.
- works closely with partners to develop pr, promotion, advertising, and relationship-building plans to ensure partner fully leverages its relationship with united parks & resorts.
- works with assigned partners to implement united parks & resorts-themed branded promotions which are prominent and deliver strong brand-building value to united parks & resorts.
- works with brand team to develop marketing materials for partnerships including website content, proposals, pitch decks, content marketing, social media, influencers and more.
- develops lead generation programs to grow partnerships.
- creates and presents compelling value analyses to partners and their agencies and representatives.
- participates in renewal or replacement of partners in the portfolio.
- develop and track key performance indicators to drive achievement of partnership goals.
- evaluate results for effectiveness and implement corrective action as appropriate.
- bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience.
- a minimum of 3 years of sales experience in partnerships, us travel industry sales, hospitality, tourism or sports industry is highly preferred.
- a minimum of 3 years of successful functional leadership; experience to include developing and driving strategic direction and alignment, developing, managing financial targets, and leading a team.
- experience in traditional and non-traditional sales channels and the application of technology.
- outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills, with executive level customers and partners.
- must be able to work collaboratively with corporate and park teams, and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- strong relationship management skills, with proven results generating business growth.
- must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills to include presenting to diverse audiences.
- must have exceptional organizational and planning skills; ability to meet deadlines.
- must have experience in coordinating vendor agreements and relationships.
