Basic Qualifications

Strong computer skills (Windows applications with an emphasis on Excel). Strong organizational and tracking skills. Ability to read and understand technically based bill of materials. Ability to lift and move manufactured assemblies, parts, and materials to and from various locations within the manufacturing facility. Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in accordance with the collective Bargaining Agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.

Job Description

You will be the Material Processor / Material Handler for the Optical Component Center (OCC). Our team is responsible for ensuring seamless material flow and supporting high-precision optical-subassembly production.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Coordinate material movement, tooling, and documentation to keep the OCC lines running efficiently.
  • Investigate production delays, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist lower-graded Production-Control personnel with critical issues and engineering changes.
  • Enter, schedule, and manage Production-Control data and issue standard tools to authorized staff.
  • Perform raw-material and consumable cycle counts and coordinate timely replenishment.
  • Maintain a tidy, audit-ready work floor and conduct monthly shelf-life sweeps.
