Basic Qualifications
- Calibration or Metrology experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
You will be a Hand Tool Calibration Operator for the Metrology department.
What You Will Be DoingCalibrating mechanical and measuring tools to conform to set standards. You will follow calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Your job duties will include:
- Calibrating tooling completely for dimensional conformity, workmanship, adherence to design requirements and specifications
- Performing periodic checks and/or calibrations, involving trigonometric calculations on various types of precision measuring instruments. Accepts or rejects items to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Planning and conducting calibrations including necessary calibration layout and setup of part and tool according to tool design, engineering, and manufacturing requirements.
- Setting up tools, surface plate or table, angle plate, sine plate, rotary or tilting table or other state of the art equipment suitable for taking precision measurements.
- Checking dimensions such as, hole patterns, trim lines, parallelism and other specifications.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
Must have the ability to work different shifts (1st/ 2nd / weekend shift) at times based on seniority prioritization in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.
Must have the ability to work overtime including weekends depending on Business Unit needs.
Desired SkillsExperience with calibrating hand tools such as torque wrenches, solder stations, dial indicators, pin gages retention tools, thread gages, calipers, thickness gages, micrometers and countersink gages
