Basic Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR one or more years with a Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as manual & CNC machining, sheet metal forming, welding & assembly.
- Knowledgeable of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) – PTC Creo, CATIA or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
Job Description
You will be a Manufacturing Engineer for the Engineering Prototype Laboratory (EPL) in Orlando, FL. The EPL specializes in producing complex machined and fabricated components that support the early development and testing phase of advanced defense applications and systems.
What You Will Be DoingAs an EPL Manufacturing Engineer, your primary duty will be coordinating the tasks required for transforming engineering concepts into finished product utilizing EPL’s highly skilled machinists/fabricators/technicians and unique manufacturing capabilities including CNC multi‑axis machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding and laser bed powder fusion (LBPF) additive manufacturing.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Desired Skills- Familiarity with typical Mil‑Spec special processes (heat treatment, conversion coatings, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).
- Ability to utilize precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.
- Experience working in a jobshop or “build to print” environment.
- Knowledge of LM systems such as SAP, Apriso and other systems for ordering and tracking hardware.
