Job DescriptionYou will be a Manufacturing Planner for the Production Planning and Control organization. Our team is responsible for driving program planning and manufacturing operations to meet business objectives.
What You Will Be DoingAs a Manufacturing Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing program planning and manufacturing planning activities, ensuring effective management of production schedules, material procurement, and workflow prioritization.
Your Responsibilities- Monitoring and managing production schedules, material procurement, and workflow prioritization
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain management
- Ensuring data integrity in the MRP system and effective management of kit issues and hardware needs
- Implementing and managing engineering and process changes in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Providing status reports and analyzing production data to inform business decisions
- Working collaboratively with manufacturing supervision and industrial engineering team members to prioritize workflow
- Degree from an accredited college in the field such as supply chain management, operations management, or business SAP ERP experience
- Past experience with Buy Planning, Manufacturing and/or Make Planning
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry peers, and a represented workforce or business
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing
- Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)
- Inventory control and material handling knowledge, including experience with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas
- Ability to obtain Green Belt certification
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists
- ASCM CPIM certification
- Proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs
- Very good organization and communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills
Job Requirements
This position is in Orlando, Florida. It is onsite full‑time at a Lockheed Martin facility, and the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
