Scenic Artist
Pay $17-20 hr. Depending on experience
Summary:
Apply paint, varnishes and other coatings to a variety of materials and surfaces working primarily in the construction and manufacturing, painting structures or industrial commodities. May require an industry specialty, such as house painting, automotive painting or machinery painting.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gather information, tools and items needed to complete assigned painting task
• Paint faux finishes, such as wood graining, marbleizing, aging, sponging and rag rolling
• Field color matching – picks colors and mixes paint while using color matching for desired assignment
• Drawing, layout and painting of backdrops and murals with either brush or airbrush
• Preparing surfaces to be painted, including cleaning, scraping, caulking, applying putty, sanding, patching, priming and base painting
• Painting or airbrushing of 2D or 3D fields and props
• Cleaning up paint area, including picking up used tarps, scraping, removing tape, cleaning brushes, spills and paint buckets
• Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities by following established policy, training and Team Member involvement activates
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Physical Demands: Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) stand for prolonged periods; walk, talk, hear alarms and commands with background noise; handle tools; climb stairs/ladders; work at heights; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach and manipulate objects; repeat motions; use color and peripheral vision; adjust focus; work in varied lighting; maintain alertness and concentration up to 4 hours
• Frequently (1/3 to 2/3) lift/push up to 50 pounds; work in environments with vibrations; wear respirators when needed; work with paint/solvents and aerosols; work with a company vehicle
• Occasionally (1/3 or less) sit for prolonged periods; work in small spaces; taste/smell
• Regularly (2/3 or more) work outdoors in varying weather; use high-reach equipment; be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• Frequently (1/3 to 2/3) work in wet or extreme conditions and with loud noises
• Occasionally (1/3 or less) use forklift, work on scaffolding, or handle hazardous chemicals

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
