Milling - Machinist -III - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Set up, program, and operate machines and produce production parts to required specifications.

• Set up, program, and run various machines
• Program troubleshooting
• Understand and select tooling
• Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications
• Strong understanding of cutter compensating
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and neat
• Follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding
• Maintain simple reports such as time sheets and work orders
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Strong communication skills
• Maintain concentration
• Work while standing
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25 lbs.

• Minimum one to two (1‑2) years’ experience of machining.
• Knowledge of lathes, grinding, turning, and multi‑axis machines and their functions.
• Familiar with controls such as Fanuc, Milltronics, and Prototrak (preferred).
• Knowledge of programming and use of G & M codes.
