Manufacturing Planner – Security Clearance Eligibility Required
AVT Simulation is looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Planner to optimize production processes, oversee material flow, and ensure timely delivery of complex aircraft simulators. The role collaborates closely with engineering, procurement, production, and quality assurance teams to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Assist with the development and maintenance of production schedules to meet internal customer demands and production targets.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments as necessary to stay on schedule.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance to resolve production issues.
- Prepare weekly and monthly production reports across several concurrent projects.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, procurement, and production teams.
- Participate in cross‑functional team meetings to discuss production goals and strategies.
- No specific degree required; relevant skills and equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in manufacturing planning or production scheduling.
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong computer skills and experience with standard office software.
- Must be a U.S. citizen (required for this facility).
- Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint ERP/MRP system.
- Experience in aerospace, flight simulation, or a similar industry.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills for documentation, intra‑team, and interdisciplinary communication.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documentation.
- Ability to analyze problems using scientific and logical thinking.
- Strong organizational and detail‑oriented skills.
- Ability to multi‑task effectively.
Physical Requirements
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, sit, walk, use hands, and reach. The employee must occasionally lift or move items and supplies up to 10 pounds.
Equipment / Software / Tools Used- Computer, phone, photocopiers, and fax machines.
