You will be a CNC Machine Operator at Lockheed Martin Missiles&Fire Control, helping to produce precision machined parts that support advanced weapon and sensor systems. Our team relies on skilled operators who ensure every workpiece meets exacting specifications and keep our high speed CNC equipment running safely and efficiently.
What You Will Be DoingAs a CNC Machine Operator you will set up, run, and monitor computer numerical control (CNC) machines, verify part dimensions, and perform routine maintenance. You will work closely with engineers, toolmakers, and quality inspectors to keep production on schedule and maintain the highest quality standards.
- Measure finished work pieces with precision instruments, templates, and fixtures to confirm conformance to specifications.
- Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on CNC machines using hand tools and measuring devices.
- Stop machines as needed to remove parts, change tooling, or adjust workpiece placement according to the required machining sequence.
- Transfer machining commands from servers to CNC modules via computer network links.
- Verify that work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during operation.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on machines and tooling.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CNC programs to set up machining operations.
- Communicate any issues or deviations clearly to supervisors and engineering staff.
- Work 1st shift (5:30am–3:00pm Mon Thu, 5:30am–2:00pm Fri, every other Friday off) and be available for 2nd shift coverage as required by the UAW collective bargaining agreement.

Basic Qualifications- Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift
- Basic CNC experience.
- General knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. citizens
- Knowledge of hand measuring instruments

Ability to Work RemotelyOnsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
