Job Description

You will be a CNC Machine Operator (2nd Shift) at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control. In this role you’ll ensure precision machined parts meet exacting specifications, keep machines running smoothly, and support the production of critical defense systems.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Measure finished work pieces with precision instruments, templates and fixtures to verify conformance to drawings.
  • Mount, install, align and secure tools, fixtures, attachments and work pieces using hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Stop machines as needed to remove parts, change tooling or adjust work piece placement according to the machining sequence.
  • Transfer machining commands from servers to CNC modules via network links.
  • Monitor lubrication and cooling to ensure proper machine operation.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines and tooling.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical plans and CNC programs to set up operations.
  • Communicate any issues or deviations clearly to supervisors and engineering staff.
