Description:

BASIC FUNCTION:

Assist project management schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the logistical and technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Work closely with project management and jobsite supervisory personnel to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The principal duties and responsibilities of the position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist the project manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy
  • Coordinate operations and ensure schedules and objectives are met
  • Supervise and motivate jobsite supervisory staff
  • Monitor operating costs, budgets and resources
  • Communicate with clients and evaluate their needsli>
  • Create reports, analyze and interpret data
  • Tracking and ordering materials and equipment
  • MEASURE OF PERFORMANCE:
  • Evaluation will be based on duties, abilities and experience and may include input from other division personnel.
  • Bringing in projects on schedule and allocating resources properly. If budget problems arise, informing management early and working to proactively correct costly situations.
  • Effective writing and communication skills.
  • Use of the proper materials, reference tools, and software to complete the necessary tasks.
  • Maintains productive relationships with customers, subcontractors and vendors.
  • REQUIREMENTS:
  • EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's degree, preferably with Construction Management concentration, but not a requirement.
  • EXPERIENCE:

    Related experience in the construction industry.
  • Skills:

    Business writing ability. Knowledge of data analysis procedures and good math skills. Ability to read plans/specs. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office:
    Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • MENTAL:
    Must have desire and aptitude for learning new things. Must be able to work under time and budgetary constraints.
  • LICENSES/CERTIFICATION:
    Valid driver's license required.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • This person will work primarily in the Orlando office or at a job site trailer, with frequent trips to other jobsites.
  • This position may require travel on a fairly regular basis.
