Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 (depending on experience)
Travel: Occasional travel to customer sites and demonstrations
About the CompanyOur client is a rapidly growing manufacturer of military simulation and training systems supporting U.S. Army programs. All design and manufacturing are performed onsite in Orlando, giving team members direct exposure to full lifecycle product development and production programs. The company is currently executing multiple development OTAs that are expected to transition into large production programs over the next 12–24 months.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this role. Due to export control regulations and government contract requirements, only U.S. Citizens are eligible. Candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered.
The Deputy Program Manager will support and mentor under a Senior Program Manager while owning day-to-day execution of one development program consisting of 5–6 parallel projects and a subcontract with a large prime contractor. This role is designed as a growth path into a full Program Manager position as programs transition from development to production.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as Program Manager for development efforts with 5–6 concurrent projects
- Act as backup PM for an active production contract
- Manage schedule, scope, deliverables, and subcontractor coordination
- Support customer meetings, site visits, and live demonstrations
- Maintain project schedules and reporting using MS Project and MS Office tools
- Assist with SAM.gov searches and identification of new opportunities
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership to ensure program execution
- Support transition of development programs into production programs
- 4–10 years of experience in project or program management
- Experience supporting or managing hardware, manufacturing, engineering, or defense-related programs
- Strong working knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience supporting defense or government programs
- Prior experience working with or supporting large prime contractors
- Exposure to manufacturing or prototype-to-production transitions
This role is intended to grow into a higher-level Program Manager position as development programs transition to production over the next 12–24 months.
