Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Our Florida CEI/Construction Management Practice is growing! We are looking for an experienced CEI professional to spearhead the expansion of our team in Central Florida.

Duties: This position will be responsible for procuring and managing KCI’s CEI/Construction Management work in Central Florida. This individual will have technical expertise in the area of road, bridge and utility construction management & inspection as well as experience and technical knowledge in other areas such as transit, facilities and public works projects. This individual shall be responsible for project management and supervision of staff/projects within the Central Florida CEI/Construction Management Practice and shall serve as an SPE/Senior Project Manager for projects assigned.

This position will also have a significant role and expectations in business development and growing the practice with new and existing public and private clients. The Practice Leader will be encouraged to maintain active participation in professional and business organizations within their geographic region, provide business development support within that region, manage schedules of the staff within that region and support the other Practices and Disciplines located within that region.

The Practice Lead shall also coordinate with other Practice Leaders within the Construction Management discipline to ensure maximum utilization of staff and resources within the Regional Practice.

Leadership and Management
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers (PMs) and Senior Project Managers (Sr. PMs), and staff within the practice.
  • Support the professional growth and development of Sr. PMs, PMs, and staff. Provide technical project and staff oversight.
  • Assume responsibility for the business within the practice, focusing on achieving budgeted margins, project health, and effective cash management across collective projects.
  • Collaborate closely with other Practice Leaders to share best practices and optimize collective success.
  • Hire and manage the work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required.
  • Track and coordinate practice performance results.
  • Provide project and client leads to other practice leaders to grow their practices.
  • Serve as project manager on select projects.
