Branch Manager – Orlando, FL
Vortex Industries is seeking a Branch Manager for its Orlando, FL Service Center. The key goal is to provide oversight of business operations and leadership guidance to the Service Center, actively leading an installation and service business while focusing on exceptional customer service and a supportive workplace.
Responsibilities- Manage the Service Center, ensuring and maintaining direct, productive, and positive relationships between management and employees.
- Deliver a profitable operation by managing operations, staffing, and expenses.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives that reduce costs and improve service level, productivity, and quality.
- Drive operational excellence and best practices to improve quality, service, cost & safety.
- Set a tone of excellence for customer satisfaction at every stage of service.
- Maintain a high level of quality and timely service to customers for maximum retention.
- Manage ongoing relationships with key partners and customers.
- Allocate workload and effectively manage resources to achieve Service Center goals.
- Hire, develop, and retain employees, supporting continuous improvement.
- Provide performance objectives, coaching, and balanced accountability with honest feedback and recognition.
- Possess a complete understanding of all positions within the Service Center.
- Provide strategic leadership and foster collaboration across the Service Center.
- Support company objectives and procedures, ensuring documentation is submitted on time.
- Lead a culture of safety through awareness, training, and accountability.
- Ensure all federal, state, and OSHA safety, regulatory, and compliance measures are met.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of compliance with company and OSHA guidelines.
- Share best practices with colleagues to drive productivity improvements and cost reductions.
- Represent Vortex professionally when communicating internally and externally.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of door industry experience and at least five (5) years of managing operations with P&L oversight.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and performance reporting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Self‑starter who is detail‑oriented and well‑organized.
- Experience in outside sales and in‑person customer business development.
- Proven people‑development and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Mechanical inclination and problem‑solving ability for technical applications.
- Ability to quickly and accurately assess and address complex problems using creative approaches.
- Strategic thinking skills—capable of conceptualizing business requirements proactively.
- Experience conducting meetings with exempt and non‑exempt personnel, hiring, training, developing, and conducting annual performance reviews.
- Clear understanding and adherence to ethical principles, company values, code of conduct, and policies.
- Ability to work in a fiscally conservative organization requiring flexibility and a diversity of responsibilities.
- Travel as necessary to job sites and company meetings.
