Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, including shipping logistics of assets purchased by the company.
  • Assistance in implementation of and continued administration of warehouse inventory software.
  • Managing shipping (including tariffs for international purchases) for assets purchased by the company.
  • Assisting with purchasing, as required by the company from time to time.
  • Implementing operational policies and procedures.
  • Implementing and overseeing security operations.
  • Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Sourcing and hiring staff.
  • Ensuring the safety of staff.
  • Motivating and disciplining staff.
  • Creating and maintaining the warehouse operations budget.
  • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
  • Maintaining awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles.
  • Assisting with deliveries where required.
Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of warehouse management experience.
  • Experience with shipping logistics and tariffs for international purchases.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse, shipping, and logistics management processes and procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to operate a forklift effectively, together with any appropriate licenses that are required.
  • Proficient computer skills are needed.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong people skills are needed.
  • Available to work extended hours from time to time.
