Poli Construction Inc. is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of complex commercial and federal construction projects. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this senior leadership position is ideal for a results-oriented professional with deep industry knowledge and a passion for mentoring project teams. You'll oversee all phases of project development-from estimating and scheduling to execution and closeout-while ensuring alignment with client expectations, budgetary goals, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Oversight
    • Collaborate with VP of Operations and Site Superintendents to define project goals and execution plans.
    • Provide direction to Project Managers, Coordinators, and Superintendents while also managing assigned projects.
    • Act as lead liaison with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project success and satisfaction.
  • Project Management & Controls
    • Oversee preconstruction efforts including proposals, scope reviews, and initial estimates.
    • Manage the project lifecycle from mobilization to final closeout with strict adherence to contracts and quality benchmarks.
    • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets.
  • Financial & Contract Administration
    • Oversee financial performance of projects, including forecasting, billing, change orders, and expense control.
    • Ensure all project documentation is complete, organized, and accurate.
  • Team Development
    • Mentor and support the project management team in performance, conflict resolution, and growth.
    • Conduct regular team check-ins and performance evaluations to drive excellence and accountability.
  • Client Relations
    • Lead project meetings, negotiation sessions, and strategy discussions.
    • Deliver consistent updates and progress reports to owners and architects.
    • Ensure all client concerns or issues are addressed with urgency and professionalism.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong financial acumen and contract knowledge.
  • OSHA 30 certification and valid driver's license required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, MS Project, and project management platforms (e.g., Procore).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Deep understanding of commercial construction processes, regulations, and methodologies.
  • Able to meet jobsite security/badging requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, have a valid driver license and an insurable driving record.
