Position: Systems Cement Pump Operator- (1)

Overview

USIRS is looking for Systems Cement Pump Operators in Florida who possess desired skills and experience. We are seeking someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality output and consistently demonstrates a professional and positive attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and repair Allentown Putzmeister equipment; operate and repair AP/M spin casting sledge and spinner head.
  • Assist in completion of paperwork including pre-trip inspections and maintaining equipment records as required by company policy and DOT.
  • Assist in planning and leading jobs from beginning to end; may require providing work direction and supervision of more junior fiber technicians.
  • Spray cement per design requirements and meet the company’s quality standards with respect to yards per hour in the safest manner.
  • Maintain and guarantee quality, work ethics, and safety standards; demonstrate leadership and strong internal/external customer service skills.
  • Plan, lead, and sometimes supervise job execution; provide technical advice and troubleshoot problems; foresee potential issues.
  • Maintain upkeep of the company vehicle, inventory, and small tools; comply with all safety standards.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks and drug tests as required; bilingual (English/Spanish) is required for this role.
Qualifications
  • Technical degree in fiber/systems engineering or equivalent training and/or a minimum of 10 years of work experience demonstrating fiber splicing and cement work.
  • Expert knowledge in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing faults/issues while using splicing and AP/M spin casting sledge and spinner head equipment.
  • Ability to pass American Cement Pumping Association (ACPA) test including but not limited to small line pumps, high-pressure pumps, multiple suction booms, technical section, safety, hand signals, etc.
  • Clean driving record and ability to obtain a Class B license (Class A license preferred).
  • Punctual and consistent attendance; ability to work hours necessary to meet client demands, including occasional weekends.
  • Mechanical aptitude for repairing equipment as needed.
  • Must comply with all safety standards.
  • Must be able to plan and lead jobs from beginning to end; may require providing work direction to others.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required for this role.
