Janitor/Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitor/Cleaner to join our team at MCO Orlando International Airport
. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of airport facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for travelers and staff.
NOTE:
Pay rate is based on Location/Site/Post assigned.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
• Maintain cleanliness of waiting areas, including seating, floors, and trash removal.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, handrails, and elevator buttons.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash from various areas, including common areas, escalators, elevators, stairwells, and sidewalks.
• Operate and maintain janitorial equipment, including hand tools, motorized cleaning machines, and chemical cleaning supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper waste disposal.
• Assist guests with inquiries or concerns as needed.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the Janitorial Operations Supervisor or Manager

• Basic English proficiency to understand janitorial terms and safety instructions.
• Prior experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning services preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy objects such as trash bags and cleaning equipment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
