Service Technician ; Senior Level - Industrial and Vehicle Scales - Florida

We are recruiting for a Senior Level service technician. This position is based in Central Florida, with the service vehicle based just south of downtown Orlando.

The primary responsibility will be to travel to our customers' various locations within a 100-mile radius of Orlando to calibrate and repair their weighing and physical therapy equipment. You’ll also be able to perform equipment installations, electrical configuration through software menus, and various forms of maintenance on weighing and physical therapy devices.

Job Description

Foster excellent customer service by performing proper installations, calibrations, and repairs on industrial scales and other weighing equipment at customers’ sites, representing all types of industries, including Chemical, Petrol-Chemical, Aggregate, Shipping, Pharmaceutical, Food Preparation, Medical, Hospitals, and other manufacturing industries.

The work is performed on laboratory balances, as well as on truck scales. This work is performed at the customer’s site, and the environment can vary depending on the location of the equipment. The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and extreme weather conditions, and may be required to work extended hours when necessary.

Essential Job Functions

· Understand, always promote, and follow Peninsula Manufacturing Group and customer safety regulations and policies to ensure your safety as well as the safety of others.

· Strive to provide excellent customer service by communicating to the customers the services we can provide, as well as theservices we are providing for them; also, keeping them informed on open jobsthat aren’t completed in one trip.

· Performs calibrations and preventative maintenance duties on industrial scales and other weighing equipment.

· Troubleshoots and repairs industry-related products without assistance as skills and training permit.

· Ensure customer uptime requirements are met andthat PM work at the assigned account is completed in a timely manner.

· Train customers in the proper operation of equipment

· Drive safely and obey DOT guidelines to customer sites using company vehicles, and may require a Commercial Driver’s License(CDL) for operating the Heavy capacity Test Truck.

· Comply with Quality ISO
17025 procedures and documentation per customer requirements.

· Ability to work overtime and on a rotating on-call schedule, including nights and weekends, based on customer demand.

· Lead efforts to modernize, upgrade, and convertcustomer existing equipment and sell service contracts for preventative maintenance agreements.

· Interface with sales to meet current customer requirements and sell equipment contained in the technician’s catalog whenrepairs are not economical.

· Solicit referrals for new customers and directthis information to the sales staff and service manager on a regular basis.

· Submit completed work orders daily, listing all billable hours, inventory used on the job, and obtain customer purchase orders.

· Submit electronic time sheets and expense reports (with receipts) weekly to the appropriate personnel.

· Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
