Join a well-established personal injury law firm in Orlando, FL, focused on serving a diverse, Spanish-speaking client base. As an Associate Attorney, you will manage personal injury cases from pre-suit through litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, handling discovery, and appearing in court. This role involves direct client communication, collaboration with experts, and trial preparation to ensure cases are effectively advanced and resolved.

Salary Range

$70,000 – $100,000 / year DOE

Qualifications
  • Member of the Florida Bar
  • 6+ months – 1 year of personal injury experience in pre-suit and litigation matters (motor vehicle accidents and premises liability cases)
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and absorb knowledge from experienced attorneys and team members
  • Experience from a defense firm is acceptable
Responsibilities
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses under the supervision of senior attorneys
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on liability, damages, and procedural issues
  • Handle pre-suit investigations, reviewing accident reports, medical records, and insurance documents
  • Communicate directly with clients to provide updates, gather facts, and explain legal processes
  • Prepare settlement demands and assist in negotiating with opposing counsel and insurance adjusters
  • Attend and conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and medical providers
  • Make court appearances for hearings, status conferences, and motions
  • Assist with trial preparation, including witness outlines, exhibit lists, and jury instructions
  • Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court orders and firm protocols
