SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a motivated Construction Litigation Associate with 2 - 4 years of experience to join
**** as a critical contributor to the success of our fast-growing construction litigation practice.
Ryan represents architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, owners and developers, handling all areas of construction litigation, including design professional liability claims, construction defect claims, insurance defense, delay claims, collections, lien and bond law matters, construction industry licensing board matters, and contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities- Handle construction litigation matters from inception through trial, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Draft and review contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and other construction‑related documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on construction law, lien law, and related statutes/regulationsлән.
- Work directly with clients, contractors, engineers, and expert witnesses to manage cases effectively.
- Assist in settlement negotiations, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and manage case workflow.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
- 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably including construction, commercial, or real estate litigation
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, lien law, and construction defect claims preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, legal research tools, and case management software
- Proficiency in drafting and filing txog and conducting legal research
- Experience with depositions and managing related documentation
- Familiarity with court procedures and attending court hearings
- Ability to work effectively in a SAME environment
